Will callers know they're talking to an AI?
We recommend being upfront, and the receptionist can say so in its greeting. Many callers simply care that someone picked up and got them booked. If calls are recorded, the greeting also tells callers that, as many US states require.
Do I need a new phone number?
No. Keep your number and forward calls to the receptionist: only after hours, only when you don't pick up, or all the time. You choose, and you can change it whenever you like.
What if the caller asks something the AI can't handle?
It takes their details and the reason for the call, and the call summary is logged straight away so you can call back. We review calls with you in the first weeks and keep improving its answers.
Is it OK to ask customers for Google reviews like this?
Yes, as long as everyone is asked fairly. Our review engine gives every customer the option to post a public review, and offers unhappy customers a private way to reach you too. We never filter out negative reviews, because Google's policies forbid it.
Who owns the accounts?
You do. We set everything up in your business's name: the automation platform, the AI voice provider, your phone number and messaging. Those tools bill you directly at cost, with no markup from us. If you ever stop working with us, everything keeps running and stays yours.
Who's behind Ilumax Automations?
Ilumax Automations is the automation practice of Ilumax Systems, a software studio that builds apps, websites and automations for businesses. The same team designs, builds and supports every system we set up.
Which tools does it work with?
Google Calendar and Gmail out of the box, plus most booking systems and CRMs that can send a webhook. If yours isn't on the list, ask us.
